Post baby weight


Before having a baby I was always curious what your body looks like after having a baby. Pregnancy does a number on your body for sure and after seeing it stretch out beyond what I ever could have thought it would stretch it is hard to believe I can ever look normal again. With Luke I was lucky to lose all the weight in 7 days with NO effort. Not as luck this time, but still luckier then some.

So this is me the day I delivered. Hello HUGEness!

Here I am 7 days post baby... See the yucky baby fat pooch... ugh GOT TO GO!! I look 4 months preggo still!


Pre baby weight: 125
Current weight (7 days post baby 132) +7
Goal Weight 120 (By November 1st!)

Gone are the days I care to stay under 115 and I think 120 should be easily attainable with some discipline! I am all about accountability so if I publicly announce I am for the first time ever actually going to TRY and lose weight I may actually stick to it and be successful!! Truth be told I dont have the time and money for the gym and I have never been a great dieter. SO we will see how this goes! The plan is eat better and walk with the stroller as much as possible. I am not technically allowed to work out for 6 weeks while I am healing but I figure that should be safe! With Luke heading back to school next week and my crazy season not starting until October I have a chance of actually getting into a routine with this!

Good for you trying out a new routine!! Between changing what you eat and purposefully exercising, I know you will do great!

And not to be a debbie downer, but trying to lose 6 lbs per month is very very ambitious! I am sure you can get down to pre-baby weight by Nov 1 though! One pound a week is an attainable goal for sure!

Also, I have learned that small things make a huge difference--even taking an extra trip or two up the stairs, doing 10 jumping jacks a couple of times a day, walking around the block just one more time--it will all add up! Good luck!
