Luke's 4th Birthday

Sunday January 15 was Luke's 4th birthday and birthday party! We were lucky to have some great out of town guests come in town to celebrate! Thanks mom, dad, Mike, Devon, Amy, Wasiu, Tyler, and Chris! Luke really felt special!

I started the birthday up very early. 4 am to be exact, because I had bought a helium tank and 100 balloons. I wanted you to wake up to a roomfull of birthday love. And what kid doesn't love balloons? Well after blowing up 30 I ran out of helium so as I went to your room to deliver them at 5:36. I am not sure why I was surprised to find you sitting up in bed already awake. So I asked you to close your eyes and you were still pretty excited. Not quite as excited as Katelyn though who awoke from the top bunk!

By 6:30 we were enjoying a nice dunkin donut breakfast and hot chocolate! I enjoyed the alone time with my two big kids! Both always opt for the strawberry frosted with sprinkles. I am a big fan of their cheddar bagel twist. Yum.

As the sun rose we played a few games of Chutes and Ladders and candy land!

We spent the next few hours getting ready for the party at noon! Judging by a few remarks I got, I did an awful job of inviting people! If you didn't have kids and didn't get an invite... I was trying to be nice! If you did have kids and didn't get an invite! I'm sorry!! The party was only for 15 kids and it was a lot more money for 20!! We had to invite the whole class which had 16 kids +Kate of course so we only invited a few extra and just kind of hoped we weren't over by too much!! We ended up with 16 so it worked out perfect!
